About Portasol on the Pacific coast

Portasol is approx. 30 km south of Quepos and 20 km north of Dominical on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, and near Portalón.
Being only 3 km to the next beach: Matapalo

Portasol is an ecological community of nature lovers from all over the world.
By settling here and setting rules that care for the environment, they protect 440 ha of primary and secondary forest.

The founder, Guillermo Piedra and his family hereby made a contribution to Costa Rican nature conservation. It was his dream and is his life's work.

Many beautiful paths lead through the extensive forest area.
Bathing in the water fall pool is a refreshing experience.
